Thai Vowels (Transliterations)
Most Thai vowels have two versions, short and long. Short vowels are clipped and cut off at the end. Long ones are drawn out. At Kruumui e-learning shows short vowels with single and double letters and long vowels with double letters or 3 letters ( ‘a’ for short; ‘aa’ for long)
Don’t worry if you can’t remember all these transliterations vowels. The most important thing is in each lesson that you pronounce the words correctly by repeat after the audios and take note of the tone. Let’s go through the following vowels one by one.
